Island Delight Supports National Vegetarian Week
National Vegetarian Week 16th – 22nd May
Flexitarian. Not heard the term? But it’s one that’s becoming more popular as more and more people turn to a semi-vegetarian diet.
According to market research giants Mintel – 35% of Brits now see themselves in this category – figures which are echoed by the Vegetarian Society too.
This society recently found that 3 in 10 people have now cut down on meat for a variety of reasons ranging from health, through to saving money, concerns about animal welfare and even the doubts about the validity and honesty of the food industry. There’s no doubt it’s a growing trend – one which we’ve been delighted to be part of for many years by producing our approved vegetarian patties.

Tasty Vegetable Patties
Available in two varieties – Vegetable and Spicy Vegetable, these patties contain a tasty mix of vegetables and our trademark spice Scotch Bonnet. Wrapped up in golden pastry (short-crust for the vegetable and flaky for the spicy pattie), they’re reminiscent of Caribbean sunshine and sandy beaches – there’s nothing quite like them! We sell over tens of thousands of units per week, so we’re confident our product is a market leader – if you haven’t tried them yet – you’ll love them.
Come Get Involved
If you’d like to be involved in activities with the Vegetarian Society, then check out their website on www.vegsoc.org. There are lots of details here on how you can get involved specifically with National Vegetarian Week too.
