We are looking for dedicated Production Operatives to join our team at our Hockley site. This is a hands on role where you’ll be involved in different parts of our production process.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on work area, your responsibilities may include:
Kitchen & Production
- Cooking fillings and preparing pastry to recipe specifications
- Operating production line machinery safely and effectively
- Checking and recording weights, temperatures, and quality standards
- Cleaning machinery, equipment, and work areas
Packing (High Care & Low Care)
- Wrapping and boxing patties accurately and efficiently
- Conducting product checks, calibration, and metal detection tests
- Ensuring correct labelling and date coding
- Stacking and palletising finished products
Dispatch & Warehouse
- Picking and checking orders ready for delivery
- Loading/unloading stock and completing dispatch paperwork
- Maintaining freezer, chiller, and warehouse areas to required standards
- Supporting customer collections and door sales
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery safely
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in following instructions
- Basic numeracy skills (measuring, weighing, scaling batches)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Awareness of health & safety and food hygiene standards
- Ability to work shifts (including Saturdays)
- Basic computer knowledge
Desirable (not essential):
- Food Safety Handling Certification
- HACCP awareness or certification
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training
- Forklift licence
